Hershel is way too kind to be in a situation like this. He admires Hershel for it, but it's hard not to worry that someday it's going to come back to bite him, like if he were to hypothetically use up his BP to help someone else and like, starve for a week or something HEYYYYYY. Sasuke will make note of that and try to watch him better instead of getting wrapped up in his own problems all the time, that was awful, Hershel why didn't you just ask he would have helped. And not only that, but he's still so... trusting? Sasuke has issues with this because of Simon, but Hershel was right there as it happened and he can still trust people. It takes a lot of strength to do that, and Sasuke really admires him for it because even now he's got the slightest doubts...

Interacting with Hershel is a lot easier than some of the others because he's friendly, but he's also much more lax than, say, constant ball of energy Heiji Hattori. It's not that he particularly minds it either way, but it's definitely easier on him when there's less... energy, I guess? to the conversation so he has the time to carefully consider his words before he speaks. The fussing can get to be a bit much at times, and he really does think Hershel needs to worry about himself more (wow look at this giant hypocrite) but a good part of that is just because he isn't really used to people actually worrying about him, while the rest is, you know. Self esteem. And lack thereof. Either way, he'll try to take care of himself if only so the others will stop bothering him about it since they clearly have much better things to do with their lives.

He thinks Hershel is another one of the key players in this game, since he seems to have a good relationship with just about everybody involved. Which is exactly what they need; they can't beat Zero if they can't trust each other enough to work together, and the same goes for the smaller scale AB rooms. He does worry that Hershel's trust in everyone could hurt him, but he also thinks that right now, it's his best shield against danger. There's a lot of people who would obviously jump to Hershel's side if someone betrayed him, so if that were ever to occur, the traitor would have to worry about breaking trust with far more than just him. That said, if anything actually happened to him, he gets the feeling things would fall apart very quickly, which could be disastrous so please, please, please take care of yourself Hershel, you matter a lot.

I keep thinking of things and then forgetting them OH RIGHT Hershel also brought up some very good points on things that could help them ultimately escape, and Sasuke is inclined to agree with him. Much like with Heiji, he wants to help with these attempts to escape as much as possible, so if you ever need his... super suspicious skill set, please, by all means, just ask and he'll do what he can.

i actually meant to ask you if you'd mind me tagging sasuke's thread again, i kind of want them to chat a bit about the red room and such BUT I DON'T WANT TO JUST BOG PEOPLE DOWN WITH TAGS

also sasuke's a smart kid, he's got good analytical skills. tbh i'm pretty excited to see where their cr ends up going as shit continues to go down
