Sasuke actually admires Heiji quite a bit. He's the type of guy who is both extremely enthusiastic and extremely intelligent about it-- it's hard to really take an issue with him, since he never comes off as obnoxious or anything, and that shows in how well he gets along with pretty much everyone in the warehouse. Sasuke's frankly kind of weirded out by some of his memories (seriously Heiji what the hell were you involved in?) but he also thinks that all of those experiences have shaped Heiji as a worldly person, and that only adds weight to his theories and findings as far as the overall kidnapping scenario goes. Sasuke thinks he's probably one of the smartest people there, and also the most likely chance they have at actually figuring out what's going on so they can make an escape. He feels like Heiji is about a billion times more competent than he'll ever be, but Heiji's also such a likable person he doesn't even resent it; he just wants to be ready to help however he can in case Heiji needs an extra pair of hands, or even someone with some... worryingly good aim.
It's admittedly a little frustrating how Heiji hounds him now, since Sasuke seriously feels all of this fussing is completely unnecessary. He isn't even sure exactly where to begin with talking about feelings the way Heiji encourages him to-- he didn't grow up accustomed to doing so, and he's used to keeping things to himself, so that's what he continues to do. His own issues will probably just drag Heiji down, or Heiji will hound him even more if he says the wrong thing-- Sasuke has an endless list of reasons not to, but given Heiji's persistence, some of it may well just slip out one day just like it did when he panicked over having to stab Zelos.

he can't help it if hershel's rubbing off on him a little and you are like one of the most concerning people here. excluding alfendi, who is some kind of barnyard animal insult-dispensing monster.
I think heiji's curious about what sasuke's grey room will be ohoho maybe they can share later
does Sasuke resent people who are really competent if they're not as likeable? Now I'm curious...

Also I don't know if his grey room experience will be something he'd want to share but I want to try to spin it towards being less antisocial so... we shall see...
And looking back that wording was kind of strange, um. I guess it can kind of be expected that other people are better and more talented than he is because like who isn't, but Yuusuke makes it personal, so that's where the resentment comes from. He wouldn't particularly resent others for being the same; at worst if they were obnoxious about it he'd find it annoying to deal with.
I guess this teaches me to write character feels when about to pass out sleepily.

Indeed he is........
But no, really, Sasuke's got a pretty high opinion of Heiji, so it's not just that he's better than Yuusuke. It's that he's a really awesome person who Sasuke wants to trust completely, but. Simon. Hopefully he'll get there eventually.
