His arm had hardly wound around the Englishman's shoulder when he began to chatter away at the latest going ons in the warehouse: Alfendi was back to his lovable, obnoxious self-- can you believe that guy? You should've heard what he was sayin' about Clive this time! Looks like Sasuke's doing okay for once, and Snake... well, they can talk about that later. Even as he guided the conversation, he began to steer Hershel in the direction of the garden, allowing his hand to drop back to his sides - but not before slipping a small piece of paper into the other's pocket. All he needed to do was give a knowing grin and stuff a hand into the pocket of his latest jacket, and Hershel gave a small smile in return. Coded messages, all of it, even down to the rat-themed puzzle he'd constructed for this newest note. The answer, and the message, all came down to a rat caught in a trap.

If they played their cards right, they were close to catching him. Very, very close. And once they got the chance, they could finally put the final piece into play...
