It may have been weeks, months, or even years, but finally, everyone makes it out of the warehouse just fine. The authorities have broken in and let everyone out, or maybe the characters managed to escape on their own. Either way, Zero and Calhoun vanish without a trace and they still haven't been caught to this day. It's infuriating, but the important part is that they're now free. What exactly entrails after that ending though? He leaned instinctively into the phone as he spoke, even though of course Snake was far across the ocean. "...I miss you."

Heiji's smile was practically audible. "Aww, he was actin' all cold about it as usual, but I know he's totally gonna miss me. I'll just have to cheer him up when I'm on break. Say, how's your studying going? You're not slackin' off, are you?"

"So what do you have planned?"

Well, I have a number of things we can do, but it depends on your mood. *Snake's voice lowered.* Clover is going on a little trip with some friends so we'll have the apartment to ourselves.

Heiji brought the phone receiver in close, matching the tone of his voice to Snake's.

"In that case, maybe we should spend a couple of nights at home? And get... reacquainted?" Someone hand him his goddamn scarlet letter.

*Only if you gave Snake a library full of them.* I think that would be an excellent way of spending our time. Traveling during the day and retiring home at night.

"...I'd like that a lot," he said, smiling. "Okay. I'm gonna hang up now, but I'll mail over my itinerary. ...I'll give ya a present when we see each other again."
